Our Paris Adventure

This photo was taken by Abby Bean, 8th grade student at GPA, of the Eiffel Tower in the Distance. Abby was one of 9 GPA middle school students that travelled to Paris, France, in the summer of 2024 with five GPA staff members.

Christian Londono Cox Model Photography while in Paris

These photos were taken by Christian Londono Cox, 8th grade student at GPA. While in Paris, middle school students were given the opportunity to become international travelers and follow in Gordon Parks footsteps by photographing models just like Mr. Parks did while working on assignment in France for Life magazine in the 1950s.

Myles Hecox Photography from Parisian Monuments

These photos were taken by Myles Hecox, 8th grade student at GPA. Over thirty people traveled to Paris, France with the GPA middle school students. Myles captured photography from a few of the locations visited. The Arc de Triomphe, the iconic Louvre Pyramid, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier are photographed by Myles.

Media Arts at GPA

Students apply skills learned during their media arts elective classes. Images were taken by previous GPA yearbook staff members Esperanza Solis and Nevaeh Black.

Audio Production photos

GPA is proud of our professional sound booth and audio mixer. Students, staff, community members and professionals have enjoyed working in our media arts space to create audio and video productions.

Involved Parents Equals Successful Student, photo by Addison Sharlow

We have an active PTO and meet in the library once a month to discuss ways we can support our students and staff. We fundraise to provide opportunities unlike any other school in the district.  Consider joining the PTO to help your child achieve success.

Students travel to Fort Scott, KS yearly to see their work on display.
